I just eked out a Polin story. I wanted to play along with Polin week. And I had an idea that didn't fit other places so I got it to work with a prompt. Tagging these numbers to see if a meh story helps or hurts me. It's been months since I last published.
But even as I type that sentence I'm know that at the end of the day that I am writing for myself. If other people enjoy things that is great. But this whole process has become an exercise in deadlines and creative thinking. Can I write my other idea now that I've learned so much writing fanfics? I don't know.
UPDATE on May 3. Yes posting a new story helped my stats. The new story only has 491 views but my total hits went up 893. And I've had some fun comments and gotten one more subscriber.
And it turns out I have two more WIP now. Maybe three :) Gonna focus on the modern story to finish it, I'd written a lot more than I remembered. And then back to my Burke-Polin crossover and then maybe one more crazy idea. Or maybe another prompt will catch me.
